After An Accident - Stay Calm!

Keep a clear head! Check yourself and others in your vehicle for any injuries. Call 911 if you need medical assistance immediately. Before leaving the vehicle, check your surroundings, make sure it's safe to make your way to safety.

After An Accident - Call for Help!

There are sure to be several things happening at once, just stay calm. Contact the police immediately. You may need medical assistance as well. The police can help with safety at the scene, to investigate the accident and they will be able to provide you with an accident report you may need for your insurance.

You will also want to notify your family, to let them know you are safe.

After An Accident - Exchange Insurance Information with the Other Driver

It is important that you get the insurance and contact information of other drivers involved in the accident. Take pictures of this information with your phone. The other driver will do the same with yours. Keep calm. Fault will be determined by others.

Safely, while minding your surroundings, get photos of the scene, including damage to any vehicles involved and the area where the accident happened. Note, you may need to move your vehicle out of traffic, so take any photos carefully.
